ST PETER’S CHURCH LETTER
St. Peter's Gift Day 2021
You were all very generous last year when we held our Annual Gift Day for St. Peter`s Church. Thank you very much.
Unfortunately, the church is still in the same position financially as it was then. This is mainly because of the lock down which has meant that for a long time we could not have live services with congregations, although many of you watched our recorded services on line. We thank Peter Robinson for coping very professionally with the filming and editing and also everyone who arrived at the church at pre-arranged times to record their parts.
We especially thank all our retired clergy too. Not only did they come and record their parts but now they are helping us by taking the live services that we can now hold. You will find details of these in this newsletter, on line or on the Church Notice Board.
We are holding this year`s Gift Day on Saturday 26th June and we do need your financial help.
There will be someone at the church from 10.00am to 4.00pm on the day and they will be happy to receive your gift. If you prefer you can either post it to our Treasurer, pop it through a Churchwardens front door or bring it to a service. By the way the church is now open every day from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
We are also now able to hold Weddings, Baptisms and Funerals with restricted numbers and social distancing, but we hope as the months go by we can gradually return to normality. So please help us to have the church ready and able to celebrate later on in the year. Surely, we will be back in church for Harvest Festival and all that follows.
With kind regards from Pat & Irene (Churchwardens)
