We need your help!

We need people to come and buy, but we also need gifts to sell on our stalls.  We have had reason to thank many of you in the past for your generosity both in donating gifts, and in spending your money! We shall be serving tea, coffee, scones and biscuits.

We would be very grateful for donations of Raffle prizes (to Jean Bennett) and cakes for the cake stall (Mary Fawcett – 231363).  We also have other stalls:  Jams and preserves,  jewellery - do you have any costume jewellery you no longer wear?  Toiletries you have been given which you do not use?  Someone else might like them!  Handicrafts – could you donate or make hand-crafted items?  Also jigsaws, board games and toys – only complete ones please, and soft toys only if new or cleaned.  Tombola gifts to Brenda Nightingale.  We have a red, white and blue stall this year.  A stall for books, CDs and DVDs.  Also a Christmas Tree Decorations stall.

And then we have the 'All sorts of Gifts' stall.  Please, only items that you might consider buying for a friend – only items that are new or as good as new.  Please, no large pictures, large vases, or very heavy items.  In fact nothing that is large or heavy, or more suited to a jumble sale!

There will be a box at the back of the church from the end of October for gifts.  If you are giving  a gift for the Grand Raffle or the Tombola, please label it as such. Any gift can be taken after November 16th to Joy at 42 Cloverfields (231301) (joybolwell@hotmail.com) or contact her for collection.  Gifts can be taken to the Cavendish Hall on the 30th  before 11a.m.  But it is  a great help to have them before the day – specially jewellery which has to be checked for broken clasps or chains.  If you have any queries as to whether a gift is suitable please contact Joy.
